10-man FCB keep their 8 points lead at top of the Bundesliga table despite draw after the Wolves’ draw at their game against Eintracht Frankfurt. Boateng was sent off in the 18th minute awarding S04 a penalty that Supermanuel saved. Bayern took the lead in the second half through a header from the bald Dutchman, but Schalke managed to equalize through Höwedes.

FC Bayern, still number one!

Following the end of the game, goalscorer and Bayern’s top performer of the season Arjen Robben pointed to the need not to concede goals like the one Bayern conceded from Schalke in the Bundesliga, and stressed the importance of not falling in that same mistake again:

“We have to be very critical of ourselves. We want to keep improving and make progress. Conceding a goal like that could be fatal in the Champions League.” Robben said.

Bayern next fixture will be an away game against Stuttgart in matchday 20 on Saturday – February, 2, 2015.
